The Foodbank supports people in crisis within Grantham and the surrounding area. The grant will help provide meals for local families.
Inspire Plus Sports Leadership Academy
Inspire Plus is a Grantham based sports charity serving primary and secondary schools in the local area. The grant will help the charity improve the lives of young people through sport and encouraging healthy lifestyles.
Rutland House Community Trust
The Trust is a local charity in Oakham for adults with learning disabilities. The grant will go towards building a sensory garden.
Ian Young Enterprise Limited
The Ian Young Enterprise is a not for profit social enterprise set up to create a life skills learning facility for disabled and mentally handicapped people in Asfordby.
Emily Gardiner (for Eddie Gardiner)
Eddie has Motor Neurone Disease and is cared for by his wife. The grant will help make his life more enjoyable.
Green Shoots Gardening Club
The grant will help a project to engage individuals and families in the Parish of Somerby who may be excluded from outdoor activities because of disability or incapacity.
Rutland Rotaract Family Support Centre
The charity supports families with children with special educational needs and disabilities in the Rutland area. The grant will go towards providing a summer activity programme for the families.
Asfordby Amateur Ladies & Girls Football Club
The Club is self-funding and has over 100 players from all over Melton and surrounding villages. The grant will help the Club to be able to offer football to all ages and abilities.
Melton Schools Partnership
The Melton Schools Partnership supports local secondary aged pupils who are excluded from school. The grant will go towards funding a special fishing project to reward pupils who have worked hard and improved they behaviour.
Parents Solution Circle
Parents Solution Circle based in Melton is a support group for parents with children and young adults with special needs and/or behaviour problems. The grant will go towards creating a sensory toy and book library at the club.
Bradgate Flats Residence Fund
Bradgate Flats is a supported living charity in Melton. The grant will go towards providing home cooked food for the residents of the flats.
“The Society has been supporting the local community for over 140 years and we will continue this philosophy as we understand what can be achieved when people work together and help each other,” said Martin Reason, Chief Executive of the Melton Building Society. “We have had a fantastic response to our Anniversary Fund and the independent committee had a very difficult task selecting the successful applicants. I am delighted our Fund will help make a difference to so many local good causes.”
