At Melton Building Society, we understand that times can be challenging for our members and that a person’s circumstances could change at any point.
If your personal circumstances have changed, we may be able to help you. Whether you’re experiencing money worries, illness, suffered a bereavement or you’re caring for a loved one, we are here to help and support you during these challenging times.
We will do our very best to help and support you with managing your accounts, and with your permission, we will add any information that you provide us to your account, which means you won’t have to repeat telling us of your situation each time you make contact with us – which we understand for some members can be frustrating.
If your personal circumstances have changed and you would like to notify us of your situation, please speak with one of our friendly and helpful colleagues by either visiting one of our branches or by telephone on 01664 414141.
Alternatively, if you wish to let us know another way, you can download and print our Request for Additional Information to be Added to Account form and send to us by email at enquiries@mmbs.co.uk or by post to Melton Building Society, Mutual House, Leicester Road, Melton Mowbray, LE13 0DB.

Dealing with the financial affairs of a loved one you have recently lost is never easy, we are here to help and support you every step of the way during this difficult time. Once you’re ready to let us know, we will make the process of closing the accounts as smooth as possible.
Protect yourself from Scams and Fraud
Anybody can fall victim to fraudsters and scams, especially online. Scammers make their living by tricking people out of their hard-earned savings, so knowing how to spot a scam is an important skill.
As a local mutual society, we want to make our branches and services accessible to all our members.
We always aim to provide you with the highest standards of service. However, there may be occasions when our service falls short of your expectations, if so please tell us about it straight away and we will do all we can to put things right.
If you are having trouble making your mortgage repayments on time, we are here to help you. If you are worried about missing repayments, get in touch on 01664 414141 and let us know why you are having difficulties.
If you were no longer able to make decisions for yourself because of an accident or an illness such as a stroke or dementia, who would act on your behalf to carry out your personal and financial affairs?
