Important changes to your savings account

The Society’s Bank Account details which are used for paying money in to your account electronically have changed. With immediate effect the following details should be used:

Sort Code: 40-05-30
Account Number: 74574915
Beneficiary*: Melton Mowbray Building Society
Reference/Account Number: As before, you must quote your full account number (i.e. ABC1234567DEF) to ensure that the funds reach your account

*Not all Banks or Buildings Societies will require this.

Any payments already instructed using the previous Bank Account details will still reach your account however you should arrange for any recurring payment instructions, such as salary credits, standing orders etc. to be updated with the new details as soon as possible.

Bank of England Base Rate

On 1st August 2024 the Bank of England’s Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) met and decided to decrease the Bank Base Rate by 0.25% to 5.00%.

Following this change, Base Rate tracker mortgages will be decreased by 0.25% from the 1st September 2024.
