Former Colleague Reaches 100 Blood Donations

Tuesday 14th June was 2022’s World Blood Donor Day. The day was created in 2005 and has been running ever since then. The initiative was organised and put together by the World Health Organisation and the Red Cross to raise awareness on safe blood and blood products as well as to thank blood donors.

To celebrate and raise awareness on blood donation we created and posted our own awareness post on our social media channels. Following this, we found out that a former colleague of Melton Building Society has reached a sensational milestone. So, we would like to give a massive thank you to Jenny Carton as she has reached her 100th blood donation, spanning across 40 years. Her blood donations could have contributed to saving up to 300 lives. A truly remarkable achievement and a true hero in her own right.
