Community Support from The Melton Building Society

Horsing Around at the Melton

Fern the miniature Shetland pony visited the Melton Building Society to meet customers and staff. Fern belongs to the Phoenix Children’s Foundation – a Leicestershire based charity that provides crucial support for youngsters and families living with illness, disability or lack of opportunity.

The Foundation is the Melton’s chosen charity of the year and the Society is sponsoring pony Fern and raising money for the charity through staff dress down days and organising local events with Fern. The Melton has also launched a special online children’s savings affinity account which gives savers an attractive rate of interest, alongside the Society donating a percentage every year of the average daily account balances to the Phoenix Children’s Foundation.
