Supporting Vulnerable Customers

Dementia Friends

The Society is committed to supporting vulnerable customers and we hold quarterly Vulnerable Customer meetings to review and discuss ideas and issues. Our branches and our savings administration department have a vulnerable customer champion. It is the responsibility of the champions and branch managers to ensure we are meeting the needs of vulnerable customers in their branch or department.

To help customers who have difficulty hearing, all branches now have portable hearing loops which can be used at the counter and in meeting rooms. The Society is also supporting Dementia Friends and all branch and savings admin staff have watched a training video to give them extra knowledge about dementia.
